ABOUT

 My name is Elsa Rosén and I am a 23 year old abstract artist who loves to play with different textures, structures and colors to create depth and feeling in my art.

​

 Often, I get inspired by the nature, music and color combinations I see in everyday life. When the brush touches the canvas, I do have an idea about what I want to do and which colors to use, but never have a finished picture in my head. I let the creating process decide how the piece turns out in the end. For me, the process of the painting is just as important as the finished result.

During my childhood, I was always drawing and painting realistic motives, and as soon as I graduated, I moved to Östhammar and started my tattoo apprenticeship so I could work with art even though I studied natural science in high school. Now, I'm working fulltime as a tattoo artist.

In 2022, I learned about abstract art and understood the alluring process of painting, not knowing the end result and painting a feeling or a thought instead of a picture. I love experimenting with new techniques, materials and textures to develop my art.
